In a shocking video, which is widely shared on social media, a woman carrying a child is seen running to escape a chasing cheetah at a wildlife park in the Netherlands. Identified as French by local media, the members of the family were out of the car and standing on the grassy land when two big cats ran towards them.

While two of the family members run immediately inside the car on spotting the cats, another young person, presumably a boy, makes a run to the car as a cheetah runs to get him. Meanwhile, a woman is seen scooping up a child running towards her as the two cats surrounded them. However, the brave woman made a thrilling entry into the car as a cat almost nearly caught her.

The video was taken on Monday at the Beekse Bergen Safari Park in the south of the country. 24-year-old Robin de Graaf, who filmed the incident, was quoted as saying, “We very nearly saw an entire family torn apart.” The park management said there were many “very clear” signs instructing the visitors to stay in their vehicles at all times.
