In a press release on Friday, the Swedish Academy, which annually awards the Nobel prizes, announced that this year’s prize for Literature has been postponed. The decision has been made in light of a sexual assault and financial scandal that is currently gripping the Academy, which has been under fire for how it dealt with an alleged sexual misconduct by French photographer Jean-Claude Arnault, who is the spouse of an ex-member of the institution.
