Kim Jong-un's Health: Satellite images spark Speculation of Arrangements for Massive funeral parade!
Home > News Shots > World newsSatellite imagery shows North Korea is building large parade structures amid reports that its leader Kim Jong-un has died, the images published by Planet Labs show temporary buildings commonly used for military parades being installed in capital Pyongyang sometime after April 18. There are also reports that the mysterious nation is in the grasp of a coronavirus outbreak meaning a mass military procession would appear to be far-fetched – absolutely in the coming weeks.
Kim Jong-un has not been found out in the open since April 11 and reports from the region claim he has died from a botched heart operation. There is theory that the procession could be for the leader's burial service, similar to the scenes in 2011 when his father Kim Jong-il died. The rows of temporary structures, likely used to house soldiers who will take part in the event, have been installed at Pyongyang’s Mirim parade training grounds.
His poor health has been the point of conversation for quite some time, owing to him being a chain smoker, binge eater and such. Reports speculate the North Korean leader has died or is in a coma after either heart surgery, an injury during a missile test, or having collapsed while walking in the countryside. However, South Korea has insisted that he is "alive and well", while other reports suggest he is isolating because of Covid-19 at his private resort in Wonsan.
Meanwhile, American President Donald Trump has said he believes reports of his death are "incorrect".
