Home > News Shots > World newsIn a shocking case, a woman unfortunately gets trapped under an SUV in New York City. Seconds later, nearly a dozen of people run to help the woman; they lift an SUV and rescue the woman.
The incident happened after the woman, identified as Veronika, was run over by the car on Lower East Side. Currently, a video is going viral where onlookers are seen rushing to lift the car up to pull the woman out.
After being rescued, the woman told NBC News that, "I remember I was on the sidewalk, the car came, the car hit me. I was completely under the car. Both legs were kind of stuck under one of the wheels."
The video was captured and posted on social media by Colby Droscher. It has been viewed over 3.5 million times after being shared.
According to NBC News, Veronika had no broken bones after the accident. "I'm extremely bruised and in a lot of pain but all of that will heal so that's the good thing. I want to say a big thank you to everyone who helped. I don't know how I can ever pay that back, I'm really grateful for everyone that helped."
