Home > News Shots > World newsTwo days ahead of the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL 2020), a suicide bomb attack in the city of Quetta shocked the nation and killed at least fifteen people and wounded more than two dozens.
According to Republic World report, Quetta is also the home of PSL defending champions Quetta Gladiators. On February 17, a suicide bomb attack took place near a religious rally in the Pakistani city of Quetta.
There is no official confirmation on the number of casualties yet. While the PSL is all set to begin on February 20. Meanwhile, a local Pakistani media claims that the area has always been prone to such incidents. Last month, there were two blasts in the same city.
The PSL 2020 will also be the first to be entirely hosted by Pakistan, where a total of 36 matches will be played across 30 days between six teams.
Currently, video footage are going viral on social media showing the explosion that took place at a local bazaar; that destroyed shops and vehicles on the road while people can be seen running desperately to find shelters.
