Video! Plane Carrying 176 Passengers Crashes In Iran Shortly After Takeoff
Home > News Shots > World newsThe world woke up to the sad and shocking news of a deadly plane crash near the Tehran airport. There were nearly 170 passengers on board in Ukrainian Boeing jet that crashed in Tehran.
A clip of the deadly plane crash near the Tehran airport is currently going viral. In the video, the aircraft can be seen burning in the dark as it hurtles towards the ground before exploding upon impact.
According to CNN reports, there were more than 170 passengers on board in the Ukraine International Airlines and all of them are said to be dead in the mishap. The plane crash occurred soon after take-off which has now been blamed on technical issues.
Minutes after the cash, Iranian authorities rushed to the site with emergency services hoping some passengers could be saved but sadly none survived the crash.
Media earlier reported that there were around 180 or 170 people on board, but in the later part of the day Ukraine's prime minister and Iranian state TV confirmed that there were 176 passengers and crew.
Following the crash, India has asked its citizens to avoid travelling to Iraq for sometime. Watch the video below:
