Popular cricketer to take oath as Pakistan PM by Aug 14

Former Pakistan cricketer-turned-politician Imran Khan will be sworn in as the neighbouring country's new Prime Minister before the country’s independence day on August 14, his party, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), has announced even as it is trying to reach out to smaller parties and independents to form the next government.

PTI emerged as the single largest party in the National Assembly after the July 25 elections but is still short of numbers to form a government on its own.
