"We are the First... and Last..." CSK Star’s talk on Important ‘Problem’ goes Viral!

Indian Cricket Team spinner and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) star player Harbhajan Singh tweeted about climatic change on September 12 (Thursday) morning.  While the world is already at the verge of massive climatic change, the voices from noted personalities in various fields have started to campaign against the biggest threat to the human race.

“We are the first Generation to feel the effect of climate change and the last Generation who can do something about it. Think Think & Think  Good morning!” (sic) tweeted Harbhajan.  His tweet has gone viral on the social media garnering thousands of likes, lots of retweets and replies.

In fact, there are discussions on various aspects including socio-economic causes, industrial exploitation and capitalistic ideology to name a few for the alarming level of global warming.

In a recent interview to truthout.org, Dr Marit Hammond, a lecturer in politics at Keele University, UK talked about the influence of social injustice that is carried by the people in their day-to-day life.

Ironically, people lack a moral responsibility to carry a reusable plastic or coffee mug (for instance) which also contributes to the rise in Global Warming. Talking more about 'Ecological democracy', Dr Hammond said, “Sustainability in the face of the current threats requires a fundamental cultural transformation”.
