Video: Man Passes Driving Test, Crashes Car Into River 10 minutes After Getting License

In a shocking and bizarre case, a man in China drove his car straight into a river, just 10 minutes after passing his driving test and getting the license. The driver has been identified as Zhang, who was reportedly busy on his phone when the incident happened. This incident took place on February 21 in the Chinese city of Zunyi.

This incident was caught on security cameras that were fixed near the narrow bridge. As per a Daily Mail report, Zhang, was busy on his phone, responding to congratulatory text messages after getting his driving license.

After the incident went viral, the Zunyi Traffic Police took to social media and shared photos of the crash on Chinese social media platform, Weibo. They also wrote a note saying, the car's owner had received his license just 10 minutes before the crash.

When media contacted Zhang, he told Fox News, “While I was driving, I tried to grab my phone and read some messages while two people were in front of me on the bridge. I became nervous and turned left suddenly. I had only put on my new plate and driven for some 10 minutes when I crashed".

Zhang escaped the crash after kicking the car door open and swimming to safety.

Later, his car was lifted out of the river with the help of a crane. After being rushed to a near-by hospital, Zhang got to know that he has suffered a dislocated shoulder in the aftermath of the accident.
