According to reports, rescuers have pulled out three survivors from the debris after a Boeing 737 crashed and burned immediately after takeoff from Havana’s airport in Cuba. Reports suggest that over 100 people were killed in the incident which took place on Friday. All the three survivors were women, say reports.
Reportedly, five children were on the plane including an infant and a 2-year-old. Reports suggest that there were as many as 105 passengers plus up to nine crew members on the plane. However, the exact number of people on the 39-year-old plane is unclear.
The cause of the ageing plane’s crash is yet to be ascertained. Investigators are examining the debris to learn as to what caused the airliner, bound to the eastern city of Holguin, to go down.
