Big Breakthrough in COVID-19 Vaccine! - Russia announces Successful Completion of Human Trials - Report!

As the world continues to fight the on-going coronavirus pandemic, Russia has emerged to be the first country with a COVID-19 Vaccine.

Russia’s Sechenov University is the first in the world to have completed human trials of coronavirus vaccine. The director of the institute for Translational Medicine and Biotechnology, Tarasov, conformed the same. "Sechenov University has successfully completed tests on volunteers of the world`s first vaccine against coronavirus," he said.

The University started human trials on June 18, with a group of volunteers who are expected to be discharged on Wednesday. The second group of volunteers are also expected to be discharged by July 20.

"The data obtained by the Gamalei National Research Centre for Epidemiology and Microbiology, proves that volunteers of the first and second groups are forming an immune response after injections of the vaccine against the coronavirus," read an earlier statement of the Russian Defence Ministry. Further, this medicine’s safety has also been confirmed by the director of the university.

However, Russia has not released any further information with regards to the commercial production stage of the vaccine. More than 20 vaccines worldwide are currently being tested.
