Indian Student’s Dead Body Taken Out of American University Lake
Home > News Shots > World newsAnnrose Jerry, an Indian-American student at the University of Notre Dame was reported to be missing since January 21. Unfortunately, the 21-year-old’s dead body was fished out of the campus lake on Friday morning.
Her death has plunged her family, friends and the community at large into darkness. Investigative authorities are saying that she could have slipped and fallen into the lake by mistake. They are also treating her death as an accident since her body doesn’t seem to bear external injuries.
Her friends describe her as being extremely intelligent and good at playing piano. Annrose’s ancestry is traced to Kerala.
"We're deeply saddened by the passing of Annrose," Rev. John I. Jenkins, president of the University of Notre Dame said and added, “We will keep her and her family and friends in our prayers.”
She was all set to graduate this year and intended to do further studies in dentistry while at the same time, helping out autistic kids.
