According to the man, he was out on a lunch break when he noticed a strange smell from his iPhone. He also felt heat emanating from his rear pocket and a burning sensation on his skin. Reportedly, green and yellow coloured smoke was rising from his iPhone XS Max.
The fire had to be put out by a fire extinguisher, leaving a hole in his clothes. The man wanted compensation for his phone and his ruined clothes, shoes and wireless service. The victim is reportedly considering legal remedies for his predicament.
