Architects from Poland have developed a foldable skyscraper that can be deployed to disaster zones with the help of helicopters almost immediately. A helium balloon placed at the centre of the structure helps raise the building as it inflates. Designed by Damian Granosik, Jakub Kulisa, and Piotr Pańczyk from Poland, Skyshelter.zip, the structure, holds a folding metal frame inside. The number of floors to be unfolded can be controlled by the amount of the gas poured into the balloon.
