As per Forbes report, more than 1000 malicious files have been found in 2020 Oscar-nominated films including the widely acclaimed "Joker" starring Joaquin Phoenix. Joaquin Phoenix won the academy for Best Actor in the recently concluded ceremony.

According to Kaspersky researchers, Joker has been named as the most 'dangerous' movie with 925 malicious files. Further, the report states that out of 925 malicious files 304 were related to Joker.

The second most dangerous movie is Benedict Cumberbatch starrer "1917" with 215 malicious files. Martin Scorcese's "The Irishman" stands third with 179 malicious files.

Kaspersky has advised the users to check for the untrusted version of these films online and be careful before clicking such links.

According to the safety tips provided by Kaspersky, if you are going to download a video file from a source you consider trusted and legitimate, do check that the file you are downloading has extensions like .avi, .mkv or .mp4 extension. However, it is recommended to avoid downloading these as much as you can. The report strongly advises not to download files with the extension .exe.
