Recently major mobile networks such as Airtel, Vodafone and Idea decided to increase the tariff rates to the customers. While it was announced that increased tariff rates for Vodafone Idea and Airtel would come into existence from December 1, Reliance Jio has also been added in the list.
According to News18 report, Reliance Jio will also increase the tariffs in compliance with the TRAI standards from next month. However, the announcement stated that the hike will be in such a way that customers don't get affected to a larger extent.
"Like other operators, we will also work with the government and comply with the regulatory regime to strengthen the industry to benefit Indian consumers and take measures including appropriate increase in tariffs in next few weeks in a manner that does not adversely impact data consumption or growth in digital adoption and sustains investments," Reliance Jio's statement was quoted by News18.
