Google recently launched its redesign for Gmail with a lot of exceptional features such as confidential mode, integrated rights management, two-factor authentication, email snoozing and smart reply. One of them is ‘Smart Compose’, which allows users to draft a mail easily and quickly. However, the experimental feature is not yet officially rolled out for everyone.

Still, users can enable the hidden feature by following the below steps:

Step 1: Click on the gear-like ‘Settings’ button in the new Gmail interface.

Step 2: Under ‘General’, scroll down and check the ‘Experimental Access’ box, which allows users “Gain early access to features still under development”.

On saving after completion of these two steps, Gmail reloads.

Step 3: Again, go to ‘Settings’, where the ‘Smart Compose’ feature is now seen under ‘General’.

Step 4: Click on ‘Writing suggestions on’ against ‘Smart Compose’ to enable the feature. To disable the feature, click on ‘Writing suggestions off’.
