Facebook is soon entering the digital payments segment in India with its messenger app, which is testing the feature in the beta version of the app. The social media giant had recently set foot in the segment with the launch of WhatsApp Pay. According to reports, the new payments facility will work independently of WhatsApp. Along with peer-to-merchant money transfer, a peer-to-peer transfer will also be made possible through this payment facility, reports added.
