Ever heard of a Car being capable of becoming a boat? Elon Musk reveals Tesla Cybertruck Can!
Home > News Shots > Technology newsThe CEO of Tesla, Elon Musk has spilt some details on the carmaker’s new venture, the Cybertruck, an upcoming electric pick up truck. Elon Musk on Monday replied to a tweet by claiming the new Cybertruck can “float for awhile”. This comment followed as a reply to a user who had asked, “Have you thought about CT's wading depth? I hunt and fish and sometimes need to cross streams. Can I do it without damaging the truck?”
To another question on Twitter which read, “Will Cybertruck get a heat pump like the Model Y?” Musk responded, “Yeah, and whole lot more! Aargh, I’m dying to make Cybertruck like yesterday!!”
Previously Musk had confirmed that the company is looking to open a new factory in the central U.S. which will exclusively be for developing the Cybertruck. The production of this car has, however, has not been scheduled until late 2021.
Tesla unveiled a number of new and unique features in November last year, ranging from a 500-mile maximum range with a large motor equipped for “adaptive air suspension”. This feature will enable the truck to increase or decrease the suspension by 4 inches. Although Musk’s replies have taken people by storm, Tesla has not commented on the same. Hence there are no further details as to how the feature entails, especially on how a driver can switch to floating from driving on the road.
