Apple’s iPhone 9 Launch Date Revealed, to Start from Rs 28,500 Approx
Home > News Shots > Technology newsReports say that tech giant Apple is planning to hold a media event on March 31 to unveil its low-cost iPhone, called either the iPhone SE 2 or the iPhone 9. iPhone 9 will reportedly go on sale on April 3 and would retail for $399, placing it in the midrange price category. Apple reportedly planning to launch a 5.4-inch iPhone similar in size to iPhone 8.
Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo earlier said he expects the device to come with the same A13 CPU as the iPhone 11, 3 GB of RAM, and 64GB or 128GB of storage. The 5.4-inch iPhone will have a rear camera that is much bigger, compared to iPhone 8, as per reports. iPhone SE 2 models will use a 10-layer Substrate-like PCB (SLP) for its motherboard, the same technology used in the iPhone 11 version. You will have the option to buy it in silver, space grey and red.
Wait, there’s more! Apple is also reportedly planning to release several other products in the next few months, including updated iPad Pro models and an updated 13-inch MacBook Pro.
Apple reportedly plans to cut costs with a cheaper display and by recycling the iPhone 8’s chassis, as far as manufacturing of the iPhone 9 is considered.
The company also said that its revenue has been hit due to the ongoing Coronavirus scare in China.
Apple said that it does not expect to meet its second-quarter forecast for revenue and cited global supply constraints for iPhones and lower Chinese demand as a result of the outbreak.
