Mayileri hails from the village of Vellaram near Ottapidaram in Thoothukudi district. The 40-year-old works at a nearby Tasmac store. He is married and has 3 daughters. It is said that he was having an affair with a widow from the same area. The two went missing on the 28th following this.

In this case, Myleri's wife complained to the police that her husband and a woman from the same area were in hiding and wanted to find them. Following this, the police went in search of the two missing persons. Meanwhile, Ottapidaram police have received information that the bodies of a man and a woman were found in a forest area east of Vellaram village near Ottapidaram.

Following this, the police rushed to the forest area and found that it was Mayileri's husband and the woman. It appears that a letter was found during a police investigation. The letter read, "No one is to blame for our decision. We are to blame. We are looking for our own decision. Do not question anyone on this matter," police said, signing Mayileri and the woman.
After this, the bodies of the deceased were sent to the Thoothukudi Government Medical College Hospital for autopsy. The police have registered a case and are conducting a serious investigation. Near Thoothukudi, an incident in which a man and a woman committed suicide due to extramarital affair is being talked about all over the area.
