Tiruvallur youth tragically passes away at his birthday party - Details

The young man who celebrated his birthday was shocked by the cruelty meted out by his friends.

Marimuthu (age 21) hails from Alamadi Krishna Nagar area next to Cholavaram in Tiruvallur district. He has been doing plumbing and electrical work in the area. In this context, Marimuthu has a wine party for friends on her birthday.

Marimuthu, along with his friends Ramamurthy and Lokeswaran, cut the cake and celebrated his birthday at Alamadi Lake. After this, everyone drank wine together. It is said that Ramamurthy slapped Marimuthu on the cheek during an argument between friends. Marimuthu fainted.

Shocked, Ramamurthy and Lokeswaran rushed Marimuthu to the Padiyanalur Government Primary Health Center for treatment. Doctors who examined Marimuthu there said he was already dead.

Upon learning of the incident, the Cholavaram police seized Marimuthu's body and sent it to the Stanley Government Hospital in Chennai for autopsy. Following this, Marimuthu's friends Ramamurthy and Lokeswaran have been arrested and are being investigated. The death of a young man on his birthday has caused great grief in the area.
