Unable to lose weight, youth attempts suicide by falling into Koovam river

According to reports, a 29-year-old youth from Avadi attempted suicide by falling into the Koovam river on Sunday. The man, who was heartbroken as he is overweight, took this extreme step as he faced many physical problems due to his weight.

He went to Napier bridge on Sunday morning at around 8:00 am and jumped off the bridge. The man was survived by his mother. His father passed away long ago. However, he was rescued by fire service.
