While the state government and the Raj Bhavan will involve in a confrontation to question Nirmala Devi, the CB-CID reportedly said that it would not allow "any other agency or official" to question her. Nirmala Devi is the assistant professor of the Devanga Arts college, who was caught in a huge controversy and accused of luring students to offer sexual favors to 'higher officials'.

A judicial magistrate in Sattur court in Virudhunagar granted five-day custody of Nirmala Devi on April 20 to the CB-CID.
