'Won't Allow PM Modi To Enter TN If Mekedatu Project Goes On', Says DMK Chief Stalin

If the BJP government at the Centre continues with its plan to construct a reservoir across the Cauvery river in Mekedatu in Karnataka, the opposition parties will not allow Prime Minister Narendra Modi into Tamil Nadu, said DMK chief MK Stalin.

Stalin was speaking at a demonstration against the central government for allowing Karnataka to prepare a detailed project report for the Mekedatu reservoir project across the Cauvery river in Karnataka.

"We staged a black flag protest against Prime Minister Modi and made him avoid travelling by road in the state, during our protest in the Cauvery river issue. Prime Minister Modi, please bear it in your mind that if you have the plan to betray Tamil Nadu with the Mekedatu project and if you don't take action to save people of Tamil Nadu, we will create a situation that you will never come to Tamil Nadu," he said.

Organised by the DMK, the demonstration was attended by ally leaders and other friendly parties. Stalin and leaders of other parties raised slogans, asking if Narendra Modi was the Prime Minister of India or the chief minister of Karnataka.
