Will contest in civic polls if need be: Kamal Haasan

Makkal Needhi Maiam founder Kamal Haasan on Monday held a Model Gram Sabha in Alwarpet, Chennai. While addressing the press, the actor-turned-politician said that his party will contest in the local body elections in Tamil Nadu if need be. When asked about the professor Nirmala Devi case and BJP politician S Ve Shekher's derogatory Facebook post against women journalists, Kamal Haasan said, "We're very ashamed; And so should be the state; And I'm very sure the law will take its course; They will be punished..."
