According to reports, the Madurai bench of Madras High Court has ordered the Tamil Nadu government to produce a solid explanation detailing why police opened fire in Thoothukudi and who ordered firing in Thoothukudi.
As many as 13 people lost their lives when police opened fire during the 100th day of protest in Thoothukudi against Sterlite.
