Following the DMK cadres’s protest near the Secretariat in Chennai condemning the police firing in Thoothukudi which has killed at least 13 people so far, the DMK working president MK Stalin was arrested along with other DMK, Congress MLAs.

A large number of cadres, who had gathered near the Secretariat in Rajaji Salai, began the roadblock even as the party working president MK Stalin held a dharna protest in front of Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami’s room in the Secretariat earlier today.

After he was released, he met the media, where he said, “We will fight even if they shoot us like they did in Thoothukudi. We want justice to prevail in Tamil Nadu”.
