TN girl attempts suicide over NEET debacle

Ashtalakshmi, a Class 12 student of Villupuram attempted suicide on Friday dejected over failing NEET. 

A daughter of a daily labourer Radhakrishnan, Ashtalakshmi had scored 732 marks in Class 12 and could score only 8 marks in the NEET exam, the results of which were announced recently. 

Ashtalakshmi drank poison and has been admitted to Puducherry government hospital in a critical state. 

So far, four students had committed suicide in the country dejected by a poor show in NEET.
