Vijayakanth arrested for attempting to block Governor's mansion

DMDK leader Vijayakanth and Premalatha were arrested on Friday for trying to block the Governor's mansion in an attempt to condemn the appointment of Surappa as the Vice Chancellor of Anna University. Reportedly, more than hundred people marched from Saidapet to block the Governor's mansion.

Vijayakanth, Premalatha and the other DMDK members were allegedly stopped by the police and arrested. According to reports, they have been put up at the YMCA Grounds, Nandanam.
