Venkaiah Naidu sees Karunanidhi in person, photo released
Home > Tamil Nadu newsVice President Venkaiah Naidu on Sunday morning visited Kauvery Hospital in Alwarpet, Chennai, to enquire about the health condition of ailing former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi. Naidu also took to Twitter to announce that he met the DMK supremo and wished him a speedy recovery.
The Vice President was accompanied by Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit. A photo of the Vice President seeing the veteran political leader in the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital has been released. DMK working president MK Stalin and party MP Kanimozhi are also seen standing by the side of the Vice President in the picture.
Earlier, BJP national general secretary P Muralidhar Rao, party Tamil Nadu unit president Tamilisai Soundararajan, TMC national spokesperson Derek O Brien and CPI(M)’s Sitaram Yechury visited the hospital to enquire about the veteran leader’s health.
