Vel Rath Yatra started from Tiruchendur

In an attempt to get back the properties belonging to Hindu temples in Tamil Nadu, ‘Vel Rath Yathra’ was started from Tiruchendur Subramanya Swamy temple. The yatra will cover all the six prominent temples of Lord Muruga in Tamil Nadu. The event is called as ‘Vel Sangamam’ and the ‘Rath’ was flagged by Hindu Munnani deputy chief Jayakumar.
