During the financial year 2014, BJP reportedly submitted a report of corporate companies that donated for the party. The report claimed that the party raised Rs 363 crore out of which at least one third was from donations of various companies.
These details emerged from a list BJP submitted in 2014 where it listed 1,480 donations of Rs 20,000 or more received during 2013-14.
According to Business Standard, the list showed the biggest contribution to the BJP in the financial year 2013-14 came from the Bharti group-led Satya Electoral Trust, which gave Rs 41.37 crore. The Vedanta group emerged as the next major group contributor to BJP donating Rs 22.5 crore. While Sterlite gave Rs 15 crore to the saffron party.
