Unidentified woman burnt alive near Chengalpattu

According to reports, a woman in early twenties was burnt alive in Chengalpattu at a deserted area during the wee hours of Monday.

The incident came to light at around 4:00 am on Monday when two policemen on patrol spotted two men fleeing. They later found something on fire near Pazhaveli on the side of the Chennai-Trichy highway.

The police found the body of a woman in burnt condition and took the woman to the Chengalpattu government hospital where the doctors declared her brought dead. A case has been filed and investigations are underway.
