"Did Not Want To Get Separated By Marriage": 'Close Friends' Commit Suicide!
Home > News Shots > Tamil Nadu newsIn a shocking case, two women committed suicide by hanging themselves in Tamil Nadu's Tiruchengode city which is in Namakkal district.
The deceased have been identified as K. Jothi, 31 and M. Priya, 23. They both were good friends.
According to Times of India (ToI) report, Jothi was a married woman; she had a three-year-old daughter too. Two years ago, she had separated from her husband and stayed alone with her daughter.
The incident came to light, on May 16 when Jothi's brother came to give her a visit. To his surprise, the front door was locked, even after knocking the door for sometime when no one responded, he got curious and worried.
To his shock, when he peeped through the door gap; he found both the women were hanging from the ceiling.
When police was called and investigation began, it was learnt that Priya's parents were searching for an alliance for her. They were also making arrangements for her marriage soon.
As per initial investigation, the police said that both the best friends did not want to get separated. So they took a drastic step to end their lives.
A case has been registered in this matter and further investigations are on.
