Traffic Ramaswamy's PIL to stop Kalaignar's final journey rejected
Home > Tamil Nadu news A memorial for Kalignar at Marina ran into rough weather yesterday when Tamil Nadu government citing legal issues said that the place can’t be allotted, which attracted instant criticism from many.
However, the hurdle was cleared when the Tamil Nadu court gave the nod ahead for Kalaignar to rest beside another revered leader CN Annadurai at Marina on Wednesday.
However, Traffic Ramaswamy, a public activist, was still holding to this guns saying that a memorial for Kalaignar can’t be built since monuments can’t come up in coastal areas.
This hurdle too seems to have been crossed with the Supreme Court dismissing Ramaswamy’s petition and giving the go ahead for Kalaignar to rest at Marina.
