TNPCB rejects license renewal for Sterlite factory

In what look like a relief for the ongoing protest against Sterlite factory in Thoothukudi, the Tamil Nadu Pollution Control has reportedly rejected to renew the license of Sterlite copper plant.

People in Thoothukudi have been protesting demanding a closure of the Sterlite plant claiming that their health is getting affected due to the production of copper in the factory.
