The Tamil Nadu Trade Union has reportedly called for a statewide shutdown on April 11 to show opposition to Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is set to visit Tamil Nadu and protest against the Centre's failure to form the Cauvery Management Board despite the Supreme Court order.
The announcement was made by Tamil Nadu Trade Union President Vellaiyan. "If this situation continues, we'll be pushed to a state where the question, if Tamil Nadu is part of India, will arise," he said.
