According to reports, the Tamil Nadu government is to file a contempt petition at the Supreme Court on Saturday. The decision came in as the deadline given by the Supreme Court to the Centre for setting up the Cauvery Management Board came to an end on Thursday,
An important meeting was held by the Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami earlier on Thursday with many other ministers and officials regarding the next level action for the Cauvery Management Board. Many protests too were held by activists demanding for the implementation of the board.
