Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami has announced that the state would fund NEET students, who are set to write the exam outside of the state, to the tune of second-class train ticket (for one accompanying adult as well) or bus fare equivalent to that of the train fare plus Rs 1,000 for travelling expenses. The CM added that the money can be taken before leaving for the trip or by depositing the required documents such as proof of expenses, etc, upon return, at the school where the students hail from. Students need to carry a duplicate of their NEET admit card and school identity card to avail of this help.
