The Tamil Nadu government on Monday reportedly filed an interim petition in the Supreme Court demanding the immediate release of 4 tmc of Cauvery river water. The plea, while pleading not to take to the end of May to order the release of water, also reportedly demanded the immediate formation of the Cauvery Management Board. Meanwhile, the Karnataka government earlier on Monday filed an affidavit in the SC stating that it cannot release water due to the shortage of rainfall.
