TN finally gets Cauvery water

Fifteen cubit feet of water has been released from Karnataka's Kabini dam.

With the onset of Southwest Monsoon, parts of Karnataka like Coorg, have been flooded and as result, excess water has been flushed out.

The water is expected to reach Hogenakkal and as a result is expected to provide some relief to farmers of the Dharmapuri district.
