COVID-19 in TN: District Wise Breakup, Total Positive Cases, Deaths and Recoveries as on Sept 17

The following is the COVID-19 statistics that has been shared by the Health department of Tamil Nadu:
- Total number of active cases on date (including isolation) - 46,610.
- Total number of Male/Female/Transgender tested positive till date – 3,16,646 / 2,08,745 / 29.
- Total number of functioning COVID-19 testing facilities –174 (66 Govt + 108 Private)
- Total Number of samples tested by RT-PCR till date – 62,17,923.
- Total number of samples tested today – 84,524.
- Total number of persons tested by RT-PCR till date – 60,23,627.
- Total number of persons tested today – 82,683.
- Total number of patients discharged following treatment till date– 4,70,192.
- Total number of patients discharged following treatment today – 5,524.
- Total number of deaths today / till date - 59 (23 Private & 36 Govt) / total 8,618.

Vellore - 12,882 (139 today)
Ramanathapuram - 5,136 (30 today)
