COVID-19 in TN: District Wise Breakup, Total Positive Cases, Deaths and Recoveries as on Sept 9

The following is the COVID-19 statistics as of September 9, that has been shared by the Health department of Tamil Nadu:
- Total number of active cases on date (including isolation) - 49,203.
- Total number of Male/Female/Transgender tested positive till date – 2,89,777 / 1,90,718 / 29.
- Total number of functioning COVID-19 testing facilities –163 (64 Govt + 99 Private).
- Total Number of samples tested by RT-PCR till date – 55,44,850.
- Total number of samples tested today – 82,573.
- Total number of persons tested by RT-PCR till date – 53,66,224.
- Total number of persons tested today – 80,401.
- Total number of patients discharged following treatment till date– 4,23,231.
- Total number of patients discharged following treatment today – 6,516.
- Total number of deaths today / till date - 78 (21 Private & 57 Govt) / total 8,090.

Coimbatore - 19,904 ( 445 today)
Erode - 3,988 (90 today)
Chengalpattu - 28,989 ( 237 today)

Salem - 12,588 (279 today)
Vellore - 11,830 (135 today)
Ramanathapuram - 4,906 (40 today)
Kancheepuram - 18,625 (171 today)
