COVID-19 in TN: District Wise Breakup, Total Positive Cases, Deaths and Recoveries as on Oct 8

The following is the COVID-19 statistics that has been shared by the Health Department of Tamil Nadu:
- Total number of active cases on date (including isolation) - 44,437.
- Total number of Male/Female/Transgender tested positive till date – 3,87,080 / 2,53,832 / 31.
- Total number of functioning COVID-19 testing facilities – 190 (66 Govt + 124 Private).
- Total Number of samples tested by RT-PCR till date – 80,44,447.
- Total number of samples tested today – 87,341.
- Total number of persons tested by RT-PCR till date – 78,11,397.
- Total number of persons tested today – 85,435.
- Total number of patients discharged following treatment till date– 5,86,454.
- Total number of patients discharged following treatment today – 5,718.
- Total number of deaths today / till date - 68 (31 Private & 37 Govt) / total 10,052.
