TN Corona Update: Positive cases, Deaths and Recoveries today - May 24

Tamil Nadu on Sunday, 24 May, reported 765 new cases of COVID-19 taking the total number of cases in the state 16,277.

Of the 765 fresh cases, 44 are passengers returned from other States (Maharashtra - 39, Delhi - 1, West Bengal - 2, Kerala- 1, Karnataka - 1). One each returned from Dubai, Philippines and London also tested positive today.

Eight persons succumbed to the virus on the date taking the death toll of the state to 111.

Total number of samples tested till date – 4,09,615

Total number of samples tested today – 12,275

Total number of persons tested till date – 3,91,252

Total number of persons tested today – 11,441

Total number of suspected individuals in isolation ward admission – 5643

Total number of patients discharged following treatment till date– 8324

Total number of patients discharged following treatment today – 833
