Highest Ever Death and Positive Cases Reported in TN today - COVID-19 Update for June 21

Tamil Nadu on Sunday, June 21, reported 2,532 new cases of COVID-19, taking the total number of cases in the state to 59,377. 

The following is the COVID-19 statistics of Tamil Nadu as of June 21:

- Total number of active cases on date (including isolation) -  25,863*

- Total number of Male/Female/Transgender tested positive till date –  36,598 / 22,759 / 20

- Total number of functioning COVID-19 testing facilities –86 (46 Govt + 40 Private)

- Total number of samples tested till date –     8,92,612   

- Total number of samples tested today –    31,401  

- Total number of persons tested till date –  8,51,557

- Total number of persons tested today –  29,963

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment till date–  32,754

- Total number of patients discharged following treatment today –  1,438 

- Total number of deaths today / till date -  53 (16 Private and 37 Govt) / total 757
