Of the 805 fresh cases, 93 are passengers returned from other States (Maharashtra - 87, Kerala - 2, Andhra Pradesh - 1, Gujarat - 3).
Seven persons succumbed to the virus on the date taking the death toll of the state to 118.
State Health Minister Vijayabaskar said 88 per cent of people tested positive for the virus in Tamil Nadu were asymptomatic while the remaining 12 per cent showed symptoms.

Total number of samples tested till date – 4,21,450
Total number of samples tested today – 11,835
Total number of persons tested till date – 4,02,680
Total number of persons tested today – 11,428
Total number of suspected individuals in isolation ward admission – 5608
Total number of patients discharged following treatment till date– 8731
Total number of patients discharged following treatment today – 407
