TN cop allegedly kidnaps, marries wife's cousin

A search hunt has been launched for one Venkatachalam, 33, a sub-inspector attached to the prohibition enforcement wing at Gobichettipalayam in Erode district for allegedly kidnapping and marrying his wife's 23-year-old cousin.

Venkatachalam is further alleged to have threatened her father against lodging a complaint, Tamil Nadu police said on Sunday.

Venkatachalam allegedly kidnapped his wife's cousin and informed her father over the phone that he had married her.
