Tirunelveli woman dies in a mysterious way on a river-bank - details!

The incident where a woman who went to bath in the Thamirabarani river was found dead with her arms and legs tied and half-naked is shocking.

Sudalaikannu hails from the Thirumalai Kolhundupuram area near Palayankottai in Tirunelveli district. His wife, Madha, aged 50 was said to have gone for a bath in the Thamirabarani river near their house last evening. But as she did not return home until late night, husband started searching for her all night and he too failed to find her.

People in the area said that Madha's body was found half-naked in a bush near the river with her arms and legs tied. Sudalaikannu was shocked to hear this and informed the police. Police arrived at the scene and sent the body to a hospital for autopsy.

According to the police, the first phase of the investigation has revealed that Madha might have been beaten by a mysterious person.
